Four Friends

Today marked one week of all four horses being in the field together, and I’m happy to see they’ve all settled in nicely. And actually, I think every single horse has benefited from the change. Comet is significantly less grumpy (and has shown his sweet side to Gracie), Gracie has a new friend and doesn’t rely on Fancy so much, Fancy isn’t the alpha anymore so she’s behaving better, and Scotch… well, Scotch just likes to eat hay no matter what company she has.

This morning a little after breakfast, I peeked outside at my kiddos to find them all bunched up on the hay, munching away, peacefully. It warms my heart to see them all so happy!
