Gracie’s FIRST Birthday!

How is Gracie one already?! It seems like just a few weeks ago that I was meeting my little four-and-a-half month old baby for the first time. She was so cute and tiny, and now here we are, entering the awkward yearling year. I’ve seen some seriously awkward yearlings, and maybe it’s still too early, but I’d say she’s looking pretty good!

It was a rainy morning today, but the rain didn’t put a stop to Gracie’s usual happy-go-lucky mood. She didn’t even mind wearing her birthday hat – which is a necessity if it’s your birthday, at my house.

Gracie’s birthday present was more symbolic than anything – she got a yearling sized halter. It’s too big for her at the moment, but not by much. I have been watching this halter for months online – it’s my very favorite color, and has the leather crown that I prefer. It finally came back in stock just a couple weeks before her birthday. I can’t wait to watch her grow into it!
