We Bought a Farm(ette)!

If you have read anything recent on my blog, you’d see that I’ve hinted of something huge was happening in my life, but didn’t want to jinx anything. So what has taken up so much of my time I haven’t written even a couple paragraphs in over a month? Well, in case you didn’t read the title, I am the half-owner of a farmette! My longtime boyfriend and I accidentally found the perfect home, that just happened to be situated on 21 fenced-in, horse-ready acres. Oops.

He found an ad at work one day for this property – and believe me, we weren’t looking to buy or move into another house – but it seemed too good to be true, so we thought we’d check it out. Turns out it really is perfect! I’m all about the land more than the house, so that’s pretty much all I took pictures of. Here’s a few of my favorite shots:

I’m in love with my new home. After the horses move in (one more week!) I have honestly considered never leaving again. But, I’ve been told they probably won’t let me keep my job if I tried that. Either way, I’m very excited to see my home progress into a beautiful horse property with three board fence (and NO wire) and a decent-sized riding arena (which is our project for spring 2016!) Hopefully now that I’m all settled in, I can get back to posting a little more. Here’s to new beginnings!
