It’s the most wonderful time of the year! (Personally I think Fall is, but hey, you can’t fight the classics!) With Christmas right around the corner, I was super excited to squeeze another Fix in. I always ask for Stitch Fix gift cards for Christmas, so I figured this would be the fix to ask for the more expensive stuff – sweaters and jeans. Once again, I asked for bell sleeves and comfy, cozy cardigans. I also asked for non-distressed jeans. As always, I asked for flats or booties, since all of my favorite shoes are from Stitch Fix.

So, what did I get?

Honey Punch Reya Elbow Patch Speckled Pullover ($64)

So cozy. And I love the elbow patch detail! This fit my request for comfy sweaters with details perfectly. Sure, it’s not the most flattering thing in the world, but when you feel like you’re wrapped up in your favorite blanket, who cares?

41 Hawthorn Aisla Split Neck Tie Sleeve Pullover ($64)

This is the closest we’ve gotten to bell sleeves yet! (I’ve asked for bell sleeves at least the last two fixes.) This sweater is great. The neckline is so flattering without being too low cut, and the fabric is the perfect weight – light enough to be comfortable in the office, but heavy enough to still be cozy. It’s flattering, fun, and it’s grey so I can wear it with pretty much anything. The sleeves are so cute! I wish the tie detail was up by the elbows so the sleeves were more dramatic, but it’s a good start. I will say though, I don’t know who has arms long enough for this – they completely cover my hands. Whether this is the style or my arms are too short, I will never know.

MIA Kyle Bootie ($89)

I asked for low heeled booties, since my ever-troublesome knee doesn’t let me wear heels anymore. Out of the box, I loved the color, but wasn’t sure on the style. I usually go for more decorated booties (with straps, more zippers, etc.), and I don’t usually go for that block heel look. But I tried them on with a few things and was shocked by how much I love them! The simplicity of them actually looks super stylish (to me, anyway), and I do get that little stitching detail on the side. I can’t wait to wear these all winter!

Nine Britton Vandalie Ponte Dress ($58)

Don’t get me wrong, I love a little black dress! They’re so versatile and can usually be worn casual or more dressed up. You can pair pretty much anything with them and have fun making dozens of different looks with one dress. BUT – I’m not a fan of this one. I got this in a small and, sure, I’ve gained a little weight, but this made me feel a lot larger than I am. I wanted to exchange it for a medium, but they didn’t have any, so I exchanged for a large. Which, of course, was too large. (And yes, I got a perm between getting my fix and getting my exchange!) I also really, really dislike short sleeves, and this awkward length is my absolute least favorite. Plus, I can’t wear a normal bra without an extra layer on top, since the sleeve sit off the shoulder. This one was a miss for me.

Eunina Madrid Skinny Jean ($58)

I like the wash of these, but the fit was way off. I updated my pant size a week before my Fix was styled, but I still received these in the old size. I exchanged these for a size up, but they’re still very tight. Upon checking the tags (and my weight!), the tags say these are a junior size waist. No wonder they fit so tight! I stopped wearing junior size clothing years ago, because they just don’t fit my shape. I was super disappointed when I noticed this, and I wish I had sent them back. Like the dress, I’ll be trying to rehome these.

And what did I keep?

Honey Punch Reya Elbow Patch Speckled Pullover – Keep! 41 Hawthorn Aisla Split Neck Tie Sleeve Pullover – Keep! MIA Kyle Bootie – Keep! Nine Britton Vandalie Ponte Dress – Kept due to exchange, but will be rehoming. Eunina Madrid Skinny Jean – Kept due to exchange, but will be rehoming.

Never heard of Stitch Fix before?

What exactly is it? Stitch Fix is this great online service where a personal stylist sends you five items they think you’ll love. Here’s how it works:

1. Sign up! My referral link is: https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/4161677

2. Fill out your “Style Profile”. Be honest and make sure you add lots of notes so your stylist can really get to know you! Also, I definitely recommend adding a Pinterest board, if you have one. Plus, if you’re like me and don’t like to spend too much on clothes, I’d add something along the lines of “Please be economical, I rarely spend more than $20 on any item”.

3. Set up when you would like your “Fix” shipped. You can have these sent out automatically every 2-3 weeks, every month, every other month, etc, OR you can just pick a date without setting up automatic shipments.

4. Add a note to your stylist. I always say something along the lines of, “I need cardigans for work” or, “I’m looking for a perfect date night dress”.

5. Pay a $20 styling fee (if you keep one item or more, that $20 goes towards your order!)

6. Get high-quality clothes and accessories delivered to your door! Try them on in the comfort of your home with your favorite other pieces. Take three days (or more, depending if your shipment comes early) to decide what you love and don’t love. Send any unwanted items back with free shipping. Keep all five items, get 25% off your whole order. Pay online and let them know what you think of each item. It’s the easiest, most convenient thing I’ve ever done.
