I'm going to be honest - I completely forgot that I had a fix scheduled for my birthday this year. 2020 has been rough for everyone, and my life has been no exception. My ten-year relationship came to a sudden end just a few weeks ago and I have been struggling just to stay afloat. When I got the "Your Fix Is On The Way!" email, I felt a bunch of feelings at once: surprised, excited, and annoyed with myself for forgetting to delay it. But, on a happier note, I managed to land a new job despite the pandemic, so a few new wardrobe pieces would be a welcome addition! I didn't add a note, so I was intrigued to see what my stylist sent me. My wardrobe right now needs some comfort pieces and casual-to-business pieces.
So, what did I get?

Pale Sky Quin Keyhole Crochet Top ($64)
This top was the first thing I pulled out of the box and I was pleasantly surprised by it! The cut is so flattering, and the deep neckline with the keyhole detail is fun but still work appropriate. I love that I can wear this by itself, or with a cardigan or blazer. It can be dressed up with dress pants, and dressed down casually with jeans. This is a new staple piece in my closet! I actually wore it out to dinner with a friend for my birthday.

Violets & Roses Emmy Rivet Pull On Pant ($58) Franco Sarto Starland Leather Flat ($99)
I love the color of these pants so much! Since I will be starting a new job working from home, these are a great addition with the professional look but comfortable elastic waist. These would be super cute with some heels, as well. I have also been on an impromptu weight loss journey since my life was flipped upside down, so I decided to challenge myself and exchange these for two sizes smaller.
The flats, on the other hand, are very much not my style. There are elements I love about them - I love a good loafer, but the weird, metallic blocky heel was a no from me. And that's not even mentioning the fact that these are the most narrow shoes I've ever worn. They actually hurt to put on. I don't normally need wide shoes -- normal width is fine for me usually, so these must run extremely narrow.

Love Ellie Audra Side Lace Up Detail Textured Cardigan ($46)
Hello, comfort piece! This cardigan is soft, comfortable, versatile, and has a cute lace up detail on the sides. I paired it with the new Pale Sky top from this fix, but the style and color could go with just about anything. Dress it up or dress it down, this is a great cardigan that not only looks cute, but will be great for several seasons.

Absolutely Markle Crew Neck Pullover ($38)
I was very impressed with the comfort and quality of this for the price! I'm not a huge fan of the color as I feel it washes my skin tone out, and some of the polka dots are a bit unfortunately placed. Overall, it was just kind of "meh" to me.
And what did I keep?
Pale Sky Quin Keyhole Crochet Top - Definite keep! I'll be wearing this lots!
Violets & Roses Emmy Rivet Pull On Pant - Exchanged for a smaller size Franco Sarto Starland Leather Flat - Sent back, no regrets.
Love Ellie Audra Side Lace Up Detail Textured Cardigan - Keep!
Absolutely Markle Crew Neck Pullover - Kept, but kind of wish I sent back.

Never heard of Stitch Fix before?
What exactly is it? Stitch Fix is this great online service where a personal stylist sends you five items they think you’ll love. Here’s how it works:
1. Sign up! My referral link is: https://www.stitchfix.com/invite/zsbcmtchf4?sod=w&som=c
2. Fill out your “Style Profile”. Be honest and make sure you add lots of notes so your stylist can really get to know you! Also, I definitely recommend adding a Pinterest board, if you have one. Plus, if you’re like me and don’t like to spend too much on clothes, I’d add something along the lines of “Please be economical, I rarely spend more than $20 on any item”.
3. Set up when you would like your “Fix” shipped. You can have these sent out automatically every 2-3 weeks, every month, every other month, etc, OR you can just pick a date without setting up automatic shipments.
4. Add a note to your stylist. I always say something along the lines of, “I need cardigans for work” or, “I’m looking for a perfect date night dress”.
5. Pay a $20 styling fee (if you keep one item or more, that $20 goes towards your order!)
6. Get high-quality clothes and accessories delivered to your door! Try them on in the comfort of your home with your favorite other pieces. Take three days (or more, depending if your shipment comes early) to decide what you love and don’t love. Send any unwanted items back with free shipping. Keep all five items, get 25% off your whole order. Pay online and let them know what you think of each item. It’s the easiest, most convenient thing I’ve ever done.
